This review focuses on a rather intriguing Tormore and this expression was distilled in 1996, matured in a bourbon hogshead for 21 years before being bottled at a natural cask strength abv of 46.8% in 2017.

The Single Cask Tormore 1996 21 Years Old (46.8% abv)


Nose: Big wafts of orange and hibiscus, followed by malted barley and plum.   Palate: Elegant and light, with lemon peel, honeyed cereal and a touch of coffee.   Finish: Runny caramel, barley sugar, cedar and beeswax.
