The Single Cask Bruichladdich 14 YO 2004

Un chill filtered, 59.5% abv, 130 bottles, Cask #12

Nose: A blast of rancio and savoury hints, followed by hints of leather, dark chocolate, acetone, farmy and grungy hints  and some kerosene with complements the sherry and dried apricots and raisins.

Palate: Rich, velvety and dense. The sherry and savoury hints combine well and are followed by dark chocolate, leather, sour cherries, oak and ground cinnamon. With time, the palate gets sweeter and more rounded.

Finish: Medium to long on the finish, with the leather, rancio, sherry and drying oak bringing things to a satisfyingly warm close.
