This review focuses on the first of two expressions of Ben Nevis and this was distilled in 2014, matured initially in a bourbon cask before being transferred to an Oloroso octave for an additional period of maturation then being bottled at a cask strength abv of 61.3% in 2019.

The Single Cask Ben Nevis 2014 5 Years Old Oloroso Finish (61.3% abv)
Nose: Orange, black pepper, honey and blackberries, followed by cinnamon. Palate: Orange, malt, oak, blackberries and honey, followed by lemon, cinnamon and lime. Finish: Medium finish with blackberries, honey, malt and cinnamon.
