This review focuses on a tasty expression of Auchroisk which was distilled in 2008, matured in a bourbon hogshead for 11 years before being bottled at a cask strength abv of 56.5% in 2019.

The Single Cask Auchroisk 2008 11 Years Old (56.5% abv)


Nose: Sweet malt, floral hints, lime and nutmeg initially, followed by some oak and black pepper.   Palate: Sweet malt, lime, kiwi, lemon and nutmeg at the fore, followed by black pepper, oak and orange.   Finish: Medium to long finish, with oak, black pepper, nutmeg and a hint of orange.\
