Review #71: The Single Cask Craigellachie 2009 10 Years Old

This review focuses on an interesting Craigellachie which was distilled in 2009, matured for 10 year in a bourbon hogshead before being bottled at a cask strength abv of 57.8% in 2019.

The Single Cask Craigellachie 2009 10 Years Old (57.8% abv)


Nose: Vanilla pods, marshmallows and raspberries alongside malt and grist.   Palate: Vanilla, toffee and red apples, followed by robust oak, malt and grist.   Finish: Long and drying finish, with oak, marshmallows and a hint of citrus.
