This review focuses on an exceptional expression of Aultmore which was distilled in 2010, matured initially in a bourbon hogshead before being transferred to a PX octave for an additional 6 months of finishing then being bottled at a cask strength abv of 62.3% in 2018.

The Single Cask Aultmore 2010 8 Years Old PX Finish (62.3% abv)
Nose: Raisins, coffee beans, oak, malt and sherry alongside some rancio. Palate: Christmas cake, raisins, coffee beans, oak, tannins, vanilla and dark chocolate. Finish: Long on the finish with oak, raisins, coffee beans, tannins and dark chocolate.
