This review focuses on a rather interesting Ardmore which was distilled in 2009, matured in an ex-Laphroaig cask before being bottled at a cask strength abv of 58.5% in 2018.
So, let's dive right into the review!
The Single Cask Ardmore 2009 9 Years Old (58.5% abv)
Nose: Honey-roast peanuts, brown sugar and a hint of cherry. Palate: Still enjoyably nutty, though earthy vanilla does contend for the centre stage. Wisps of smoke surround it all. Finish: Burnt toffee, leafy mint and orange.
