This review focuses on the second of two interesting Aultmore expressions and this was distilled in 2010, matured initially in a bourbon hogshead before being transferred to an Oloroso octave for an additional 3 months of finishing before being bottled at a cask strength abv of 62.8% in 2018.

Nose: Blackcurrant, Christmas-y spices, straw.
Palate: Spiced hot chocolate, toasted teacake and a hint of oak-y smoke.
Finish: Intense dried fruit sweetness.
