This review focuses on an expression of Dailuaine which was distilled in 2007, matured in a bourbon hogshead for 12 years before being bottled at a cask strength ABV of 58.7% by The Single Cask.

The Single Cask Dailuaine 2007 12 Years Old (58.7% ABV)


Nose: Fresh pear juice, malty and delightful.  Hints of oak, green apple, barley sugar, white wine and honey.


Palate: Malty, sweet and fresh.  Oak, wood spice, pear juice, white wine, and rock sugar.


Finish: Medium to long finish - malty, sweet and spicy.
