This week's review focuses on another expression of Ardmore which was distilled in 2008, matured in an ex-Laphroaig cask and bottled after 10 years of aging at a cask strength abv of 59.4% by The Single Cask.

The Single Cask Ardmore 2008 10 Years Old (59.4% abv)

Nose: Lingering smoke and a coastal salinity, with hints of sea salt and wet slate followed by citrus and green ferns.

Palate: Creamy vanilla coupled with subtle smoke, oak overtones and soft stone fruits.

Finish: Vanilla, soft peat and smoke alongside stone fruits and pencil shavings.

This expression is available for purchase by the dram or as a part of a flight for in-bar consumption, as well as by the bottle for either in-bar or retail/takeaway purposes.
