The Single Cask Whisky Review #86: The Single Cask Ardmore 9 Years Old

Today's review focuses on the first expression in our latest range of bottlings for The Single Cask.

This is an Ardmore which was distilled in 2009 and matured for 9 years in a bourbon hogshead before being bottled at a cask strength abv of 58.5% and with an outturn of 217 bottles.

So, let's dive right into the review!

The Single Cask Ardmore 2009 9 Years Old (58.5% abv)

Colour: Amber

Nose: Honey-roast peanuts, brown sugar and a hint of cherry.

Palate: Still enjoyably nutty, though earthy vanilla does contend for the centre stage. Wisps of smoke surround it all.

Finish: Burnt toffee, leafy mint and orange.

This expression is available for purchase by the dram or as a part of a flight for in-bar consumption, as well as by the bottle for either in-bar or retail/takeaway purposes. Please approach our friendly staff for more information and they will be more than happy to assist you with any queries you have have.
