Review #14: The Single Cask Benrinnes 2001 15 Years Old

This review focuses on a rather interesting expression of Benrinnes which was distilled in 2001, matured in a refill sherry hogshead for 15 years before being bottled at 50% abv in 2016.

So, let's dive right into the review!

The Single Cask Benrinnes 2001 15 Years Old (50% abv)

Nose: Cookie dough, coconut, some floral malt and sharp apple.

Palate: Oatcakes, caramel, more apple blossom and toasted almonds.

Finish: Rich vanilla and crushed walnuts.

This expression is available in extremely limited quantities by the dram at The Single Cask.
