This review focuses on an exceptional expression of Caol Ila and this was bottled as a joint effort between four bars in Singapore:

This expression was distilled in 2007, matured in a bourbon hogshead for 12 years before being bottled at a cask strength abv of 57.8% in 2019.

The Single Cask Caol Ila 2007 12 Years Old (57.8% abv)

Nose: Malt, lime, peat and orange, followed by vanilla, oak, bay leaves and green tea.
 
 
 
Palate: Sweet malt, lime and peat at the fore, followed by oak, bay leaves, green tea, orange and a hint of vanilla.
 
 
 
Finish: Long finish, with malt, lime, peat, green tea and vanilla.
