This review focuses on a delicious Strathmill which was distilled in 2006, matured in a bourbon hogshead for 12 years before being bottled at a cask strength abv of 57.8 in 2019.

The Single Cask Strathmill 2006 12 Years Old (57.8% abv)
Nose: Rich and fruity aromas, full of maple syrup, orchard fruits and coffee.
Palate: Very well rounded, with rich and syrupy fruit flavours, zesty citrus, sponge cakes and marmalade.
Finish: Becomes more soft and relaxed in the finish, with brown sugar, fruitcake and a hint of coffee.
