Review #15: The Single Cask Bowmore 2001 14 Years Old #31931

This review focuses on the first of two exceptional expressions of Bowmore and this was distilled in 2001, matured in a bourbon hogshead for 14 years before being bottled at 50% abv in 2016.

So, let's dive right into the review!

The Single Cask Bowmore 2001 14 Years Old #31931 (50% abv)

Nose: Light wafts of bonfire on beaches, with a touch of vanilla-rich caramel and black tea.   Palate: Golden malt, salted butter on crumpets, light BBQ hints and some earthier notes of peat.   Finish: A smoke-forward finish.

This expression is available in extremely limited quantities by the dram at The Single Cask.
