Review #97: The Single Cask Tobermory 1995 24 Years Old

This review focuses on an intriguing expression of Tobermory and also represents the fourth expression that The Single Cask has bottled from this distillery thus far. This expression was distilled in 1995, matured in a bourbon hogshead for 24 years before being bottled at a cask strength abv of 54% in 2019.

The Single Cask Tobermory 1995 24 Years Old (54% abv)


Nose: Malt, floral hints and lime initially, followed by lemon, green tea and oak.   Palate: Sweet malt, floral hints, coconut and orange at the fore, followed by green tea, oak, black pepper and lemon.   Finish: Medium finish with oak, lemon, malt and green tea alongside some sea salt.
